An excellent Software developer role has come up with a prestigious FTSE 100 client in West London. They are looking for a range of developers and salary will be depending on experience.

A truly excellent role for a candidate wishing to join the company on a permanent basis

This role will use leading technology providing applications for online content.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop excellent quality software using agile techniques such as Test Driven Development and Pair Programming
Working on exciting products delivering significant new capabilities to applications, ensuring the User receive the best service every day, improving the codebase wherever possible and have active participation in all aspects of the team - this includes daily stand up meetings, planning, showcases, retrospectives and more.
Take an active role in Story definition, assisting QA's and business stakeholders with Acceptance criteria
Sharing ideas with the team and provide contractive and useful feedback with peers
Participate in regular showcases of new work to business stakeholders
Communicate professionally with your team and other teams in your division, knowing when to contribute and when to listen.
Delivered work is accurate and thorough and you strive towards excellence

Skills advantageous for this position:

Experience and strong ability in Java, Spring, Cassandra, MySQL, CouchDB and build tools such as Maven and Gradle.
Experience of Mocking Frameworks such as EasyMock, PowerMock or Mockito
Strong TDD and BDD (tools include: Junit, TestNG and Cucumber)
Experience in Continuous integration (Jenkins, TeamCity, Cruise Control)
Experience in both Unit and Functional Testing
Knowledge of refactoring legacy Code
Knowledge and experience of a wide range of best of breed open source and commercial technologies

Experience of software development for high capacity, high traffic (1 million sign in’s a day), high availability websites/systems
Understand of how the web works, from SQL to HTML
Delivery experience within an agile scrum/ Kanban environment
Bachelors’ degree or equivalent industry experience
